The Kennon House has a new look - and we will be updating this picture in the near future when we get some good shots on a bright sunny day. We were sad to say goodbye to the boxwoods and know their removal has been a shock. One reason they needed to be removed is to prevent structural damage as we are working on building updates and repairs. That said, it does showcase the beauty of the building! For clarification, there is no change to the restaurant service. |

Our Food and Menu |
||||||
Our menu is seasonal and offers entrees that include beef, pork, chicken, seafood and pasta. Our signature Fried Chicken is available year-round. Most entrees includes two sides. All entrees are cooked to order and will take time. We also feature homemade dinner rolls. We invite you to relax and enjoy conversation with an appetizer and the ambience of the Kennon House, while we prepare your dinner -- just for you. We offer a variety of wines to choose from including Rosemont (local Lake Gaston winery), beer, and mixed drinks. View our Full Menu for detailed descriptions and prices. We may also offer weekly dinner specials not on the menu. |

About the Kennon House |
||||||
Located in a historic landmark ("The Mud House" built in 1792),"The Kennon House" is a Lake Gaston destination and outstanding dining experience featuring upscale comfort food with a special flair. Managing Owner, Dennis Monds, and staff will extend a warm welcome. You may choose to dine in our "red room" for menu service that features a more intimate setting with soft lighting and white table linens or in a more casual buffet room accented with a huge fireplace that is open on weekends — and when we host a Special Buffet for Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, and Thanksgiving. We also have a take-out and bar area. The Kennon House can accommodate larger groups in private dining areas upon special request; please call ahead to arrange. Also if you are thinking of visiting during busy seasonal weekends, We recommend that you call ahead for reservations. When you visit, be sure to learn about the history of The Kennon House. We love to share the story and proud to be part of its legacy! |
