Ms. Hartley is a strong believer that actions and results speak louder than words. At the end of the day, it's really about what one accomplishes with personal integrity and respect for others. Guiding principles that were engrained from an early age are that "you reap what you sow" and you treat others the way you want to be treated.
Ms. Hartley started her professional career as a programmer/analyst after graduation from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Mathematics. Working in custom programming and commercial software companies, she was consistently promoted up through the ranks, ultimately to that of Vice President of Development for Computer Associates — one of the world's largest commercial software companies. She is recognized for bringing creative ideas and unbiased perspectives to the table that are information-based, politically neutral, and positioned against a background of consummate professionalism. The consistent respect and appreciation earned along the way from her colleagues, clients, and employers are what she values most.

Throughout her employment career, Ms. Hartley was consistently selected for roles of management and leadership in a variety of venues: projects, software products, quality assurance, vendor relationships, customer service, technical support, software implementations, software development (including VP), and corporate VP. These roles included staffing, staff development, product, and budgetary responsibilities. In addition, she has been integrally involved in business development, account management, strategic OEM relationship development and management, and both direct and indirect sales/marketing initiatives.
